This is one of my favorite recipes for Sedona! It’s simple, quick and nutritious for your pups!
3 Ingredients ONLY!
- Banana 2. Peanut Butter 3. Coconut Oil
Bananas are good for dogs in moderation! Bananas have low sodium and cholesterol but because of them containing a large amount of sugar, its best to keep bananas as a treat rather in their full time diet. Bananas contain potassium, vitamin C, fiber, magnesium, biotin and copper! Packed with good nutrients for your pup! Just remember smaller amounts at a time!
Peanut Butter is a favorite to dogs! The taste is so delicious! I love to use peanut butter for many different treat options! I use it all on its own too, whether its stuffing a Kong toy with it or smearing it on the bathtub to make bath time a success for both Sedona and US! Peanut butter has many good nutritious features for you dog: Great source of protein, healthy fats, and Vitamin B & E. Using raw and unsalted peanut butter is the best and healthiest options for them! If I’m out of raw and unsalted, I have used the Skippy Natural Creamy peanut butter as a substitute!
Coconut Oil is one of my favorite ingredients to use in my dog treats! There are so many amazing nutritious features to coconut oil! It helps their coat be soft and shiny! I helps their skin be super moistened and soft (great for dogs with extra dry skin). For the inside of their bodies it improves digestion and helps minimize allergic reactions! Lauric Acid is the main thing in coconut oil that gives it anti-fungal, antiviral, and antibacterial property! According to the American Kennel Club, Some holistic and naturopathic veterinarians believe that coconut oil has qualities that can aid in many types of canine conditions. This is such a great natural ingredient that aids in your dogs health in many different ways! Not only can you use it as an ingredient for food/treats but using it on their bodies is just as good!
As you can see all these ingredients serve a purpose! So you know you are treating your dog with the healthiest and yummiest of foods that will do great things for their body and life!
